Visit the beautiful Thau lagoon, second largest lake in France, to find out about the delicious oysters and mussels produced there. Then check out a local winery to sample some of the excellent wines of the area. Take lunch in a lovely restaurant overlooking the lake. Enjoy some of the freshest seafood you have ever tasted, offset by a crisp white wine – the perfect combination. After lunch, go in search of the best Languedoc red wines. Track them down first in the Coteaux du Languedoc. Then go on to pretty Pic St. Loup, where fragrant bushes of rosemary, thyme and lavender surround the vineyards.
