Wine Tours in Peru: Wine-Tasting in Ica |
Visit two wineries in Ica and savour the taste of ‘pisco’ and the sweet wines of Peru
| Overview | |
Savour the taste ‘pisco’ and the sweet wines of Peru on this wine-tasting tour in Ica. Ica (also called the ‘City of Eternal Sun’) is the wine country of Peru. Excellent wine and Peru's very own famous "pisco", a very strong beverage extracted from white grapes, are produced in the area. On this tour, you will be taken to El Catador, an artisan winery or ‘bodega’, one of the oldest wineries in Ica where pisco is made using the traditional methods of extracting wine from grapes. If you’re taking this wine tasting tour in February or March, you will see the grapes being crushed by foot by none other than Miss Peru and a bevy of international beauties who visit this winery every year during this period! Taste the sweet wines produced here and sample some of the local pisco. Take this wine tasting tour in Ica and enjoy a morning spent savoring some of the best drinks Peru has to offer!
