The Grand Wicklow Tour |
Visit the gardens of the Powerscourt Estate and the Glendalough ruins on this scenic tour of Wicklow
| Overview | |
A tour of scenic Wicklow is a marvellous way to explore the picturesque gardens of Powerscourt Estate and the ancient monastic ruins at Glendalough. Enjoy the sprawling 20 hectare garden and the superb surroundings of Powercourt Estate. Don’t miss the Japanese gardens modelled on a three-inch actual pepper pot owned by Lady Wingfield. One of the most photographed locations in Ireland, Glendalough is the site of an ancient monastic settlement, with two dark, mysterious lakes in a deep forested valley. On this tour walk around the lakes and look out for ruins of churches, graveyards and a stone fort.
