Tarabuco Shopping Tour |
For a flavor of indigenous culture amid colorful environs, visit the market of Tarabuco!
| Overview | |
70 kilometers from the colonial heritage of Sucre, the Indian Yamparas will give you a flavor of Bolivia’s indigenous culture. Set amongst the gently rolling hills of the Sucre region, Tarabuco will welcome you with its colorful markets and traditional costumes. A meeting point for the Indians who come to sell their farming produce, Tarabuco has preserved its rich heritage. Friendly inhabitants dressed in elaborately woven ponchos and decorative ‘monteras’ will happily point you towards shops selling beautiful handicrafts like coca pouches, pullovers and weavings with geometric designs. With a slice of indigenous culture and an armful of Bolivian crafts, you will end the tour feeling enormously contented!
