Tanzanian Wildlife Safari Adventure |
Go on game spotting safaris in southern Tanzania’s most remote and untouched national parks!
| Overview | |
Adventure trips and African wildlife together define the essence of Tanzania! Get a taste of Tanzania’s wilderness as you visit the Mikumi National Park, the Southern Highlands, the Ruaha National Park and the Swahili Coast on this tour. Surrounded by the Uluguru and the Lumango Mountains, the Mikumi National Park is home for African wildlife such as buffaloes, elephants, zebras, lions, giraffes, crocodiles and wildebeest. Drive around the Mkata plains and the Mwanamboga waterhole and spot a variety of game. Take a day trip to the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, walk to the spectacular Sanje Waterfalls and spot chimpanzees and birds. Fly to the 6000 feet high Southern Highlands of Tanzania, visit the tea estates and forested area of Mufindi, and get a flavour of Tanzania’s culture at a local village. Relax at the Highland Lodge from where you can enjoy the surrounding beauty, and explore the area on horse back and mountain bikes. From the Mufindi airstrip, set out for the Katavi National Park, home to one of the largest number of game in East Africa! Its enormous floodplain is covered with woodlands, acacia forests and wetlands. The area around Katuma River has a large number of birds, hippos, crocodiles and a variety of wildlife. Fly to the Southern Highlands to Tanzania’s second largest park - the Ruaha National Park. This African wildlife reserve has a stunning landscape of grasslands, rocky kopjes, and lofty mountains, and is famous for the largest population of elephants in Africa and a variety of birds. Stay in large stone and thatch rooms located right on the banks of the river, and spot game from the comfort of your room. After the adventure relax on the beach! Visit the Lazy Lagoon Island located off the 1800 mile long Swahili Coast. This 9 kilometres long island has white sand beaches and mangrove forests. Enjoy an array of water sports like snorkelling, kayaking, sailing or windsurfing. With adventure safaris and African wildlife, this Tanzanian trip is something you would not want to miss!
