Enjoy game drives in Tanzania’s wilderness as you visit the southern highlands and explore the Mikumi and Udzungwa National Parks. Set out from Dar es Salaam and head towards the fourth largest reserve in Tanzania, the Mikumi National Park. Surrounded by the Uluguru and the Lumango Mountains, this 3230 square kilometres reserve is home to African wildlife like buffaloes, elephants, zebras, lions, giraffes, crocodiles, leopards and wildebeest. Drive around the Mkata plains and the Mwanamboga waterhole and spot game like wildebeest, antelopes, hippos and buffaloes. At the Foxes Safari Camp, enjoy a 360 degree view of the Tanzanian wilderness. You can also take a day trip to the 1900 square kilometres Udzungwa Mountains National Park, which is a part of the Eastern Arc Rainforest. Walk to the spectacular Sanje Waterfalls and see chimpanzees in the wild (more than 10 species) and a variety of birds. Drive through the park, and spot game like leopards, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and hippos.
