Visit Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro conservation area and Serengeti National Park and spot a variety of African wildlife as you set out on game safaris. Drive to the 2850 square kilometres Tarangire National Park through which the Tarangire River flows. Set out on game spotting safaris and you could see wildlife like wildebeest, elephants, hartebeests, kudus, giraffes and a variety of birds. Take a walk, accompanied by armed guards and naturalists to the Kikoti Rocks and enjoy a sundowner. Drive to the alkaline Eyasi Lake in the East African Rift Valley, and explore the surrounding forests and meadows, which are home to a variety of wildlife and birds. Get a taste of Tanzania’s tribal culture, as you meet the Hadzabe people. The tribe has a distinct ‘click’ sound language and have lived in this region for the last 10,000 years! Further on, stop at the 330 square kilometres Lake Manyara National Park for a game safari. Drive up to the 20 kilometres wide Ngorongoro crater, in the 8300 square kilometres conservation area, whose thick forested area, grasslands and wetlands provides the perfect setting for game spotting. You also have the option of exploring the 3100 metres Olmoti crater through which the Mungi River flows and finally cascades in a magnificent waterfall to the crater floor. On your way to the Serengeti Park, stop at Ol Duvai Gorge (100 metres, 50 kilometres long), which cuts through the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti reserve encompasses the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve, Masai Mara in Kenya up to Lake Victoria in the Western Corridor. The sheer variety of animals in this reserve has no comparison. From wildebeest, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes and elands to a variety of bird life, this reserve is ideal for wildlife safaris.
