Begin your excursion with an ascent to the Table Mountain summit on a 360° rotating cable car. Affording a panoramic view of Cape Town, this cable car ride is a must-do! Alternatively, drive to the flat-topped 350 metres high Signal Hill, also called the Lion’s Rump as it is attached to the Lion’s Head mountain by a series of small hills. If you hear a canon fire at noon, don’t worry, the city is not under attack! It is the noon gun, which is fired everyday to uphold an old Capetonian tradition.
