The alpine country of Switzerland is renowned world over for its breathtaking mountain passes. Set out from Zurich to the region of Bernese Oberland. You will be fascinated by its snow-capped pinnacles, fresh air, jagged rocks, lush rolling green hills and a lovely weather. Take a trip to the Aare Gorge formed 10,000 years ago as a result of glaciation. As you walk on its footbridges and tunnels, you will be bordered by sheer cliffs up to 50 meters high on either side. At the bottom of this steep drop, the Rhone River is barely one meter wide. For a brilliant visual treat, head to the Rhone Glacier and walk through the 100-meter long blue ice tunnel to the Ice Room. After refreshing over a cup of coffee, you will be all set to tackle the Furka Pass. Enjoy the spectacular scenery over the Gotthard massif.
