Spiritual and Cultural Tour to Puri (From Bhubaneshwar)
Visit the world-famous Jagannath Temple and beautiful beaches of Puri for a unique experience
| Attractions and things to do - Spiritual and Cultural Tour to Puri (From Bhubaneshwar) | |
Puri lies on the eastern-coast of India along the Bay of Bengal and is famous for the Jagannath Temple and beautiful beaches. The Jagannath Temple dates back to 1198 and is the chief attraction in the city. With its 58-metres high spire, it is an excellent example of the Orissa-style of temple architecture. Puri is a very important pilgrimage destination for Hindus, especially during the annual event, the Rath Yatra, when the deities are taken out in a procession on an ornate rath (chariot). The city is also famous for its pristine and beautiful beaches. To watch the sun rise from the beach is a mesmerizing sight. This tour is a an excellent way to see this beautiful city.
