Wine Tasting in Avellino from Naples
Take a day off discovering the delicious, world renowned flavors from the vineyards of Avellino
| Attractions and things to do - Wine Tasting in Avellino from Naples | |
Set out on a wine tasting tour to the wine-rich regions of Italy: Avellino and Vesuvius. Avellino is also known as the land of ‘noble wines’. The area around the town of Avellino is steeped in the history and tradition of wine-making and the indigenous varieties of this region: Aglianico, Falanghina, Fiano, Piedirosso, Greco di Tufo and Coda di Volpe are used in the making of quality white and red D.O.C. wines, appreciated the world over. Another legendary wine of the area, Lacryma Christi (Tears of Christ), is produced from the grapes grown on the fertile, volcanic soil on the slopes of Vesuvius and comes in red, white and rosé versions. Taste the very potent grappa (firewater) of Vesuvius!
