Touring in the magnificent Flinders Ranges is an experience not to be missed - majestic ranges, rugged scenery and ever changing light. The changing seasons bring a myriad of textures during the summer, clear blue skies with a purple haze over the mountains and contrasting shadows create eerie patterns in the canyons and gorges. The beautiful Clare Valley is famous for its wines. Visit one of the wineries and sample some freshly-brewed wine. The Southern Flinders Ranges are famous for their nature filled valleys and riverbeds. Lined with massive gum trees, they are home to a multitude of native Australian animals. Warren Gorge is one of the few gorges in the Flinders Ranges that is a natural habitat to the Yellow-footed Rock Wallabies. The top of the ranges provide splendid panoramic views over the Spencer Gulf. With the waters of the gulf on one side and the magnificent ranges on the other, this is Nature at its best.
