Journey into a Jurassic Park-like setting just ten kilometers outside of Bangkok to the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo, and see more than 60,000 crocodiles, including the largest known Siamese crocodile, named Yai! Sharing space with these large reptiles are also monkeys, elephants and snakes. Established by Utai Youngprapakorn, suitably nicknamed the ‘Crocodile King’ in 1950, the Crocodile Farm was set up to preserve this endangered species by breeding them in captivity. This farm is also an education and research centre for the conservation of wildlife, so grab this opportunity to learn about these reptiles from experts.
