Sailing with the dolphins

Sailing with the Dolphins

Visit Namibia’s only deep sea harbour, Walvis Bay and enjoy vistas of seals, dolphins and pelicans.

Overview
Encounter diverse marine life on your visit to Walvis Bay. Leaping dolphins, lazy seals, gliding seagulls and dawdling leatherback turtles welcome you to this port city! Nestled between the dunes of Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean, you board ‘Fairweather1’ and begin your journey into Namibia’s only deep sea harbour. Passing the huge colonies of seals, you could feed these adorable creatures as they laze on the sun kissed sands. The vistas of the artistically shaped and coloured dunes in the backdrop and somersaulting dolphins in the crystal waters make this cruise worthwhile. The most common Heavyside dolphin might even swim within touching distance from you. The Dusky and Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins, leatherback turtles, huge Sunfish and whales are other aquatic animals you might come across. Look out for the lighthouse in the distance that reveals its stature as you cruise closer to Pelican Point. The view from the cruise is heavenly as you look at the jetty and coastline, carpeted with pelicans. Enjoy a glass of wine with delicious fresh Walvis Bay oysters and a tasty snack platter as you soak up some sun on the deck. This rejuvenating cruise into the riveting environs of Walvis Bay will make this Namibian tour unforgettable.
