On the largest of the Bavarian lakes, Chiemsee, you’ll take a boat ride to the Island of Herreninsel. Imagine the refreshing winds as you travel across Chiemsee’s blue waters by ferry. You’ll feel as though you’ve traveled back in time to the majestic worlds created by King Ludwig II.

You’ll visit King Ludwig’s II castle, Herrenchiemsee. It is a stunning replica of the palace of Versailles in France. Only accessible by small ferry, it was one of the private refuges of King Ludwig II, the fairy-tale king. If you fancy a stroll through a day in the life of a King, this is the tour for you.
