Quito’s Botanical Garden, situated in the Carolina Park, is a magical universe filled with a profusion of plants of all colours, sizes, shapes and aromas. In this wonderful garden you can find a small representation of almost all Ecuador vegetation. Plants from the moorlands of the ‘paramo’ of the high Andes to trees from the tropical forest serve to create Ecuador’s version of the ‘Garden of Eden’. More than 1,200 orchid species and a number of hybrids are exhibited in "Crystal Palaces" inside the Botanical Garden. For nature lovers, a trip to Quito’s Botanical Garden is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
