Explore the white and blue city of Chefchaouen on this private excursion from Tangier, and see its well-preserved Arab-Andalusia art and traditions. Chaouen, or Chefchaouen as in Berber language, is one of the most beautiful towns of the Rif mountains. It is the last rampart before the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula. A holy city with about twenty mosques and sanctuaries, it has charming powder-blue houses as well as the trademark dazzling lime-washed houses with blue doors. The local markets of Chaouen are animated with traditionally dressed habitants and colorful goods beautifully displayed. Visit the famed Ras El Ma spring, the source of the pure and fresh water for which the city is so famous. A delicious lunch in a famous Moroccan restaurant in the Medina completes the memorable experience.
