Set out on a private sightseeing tour of the North African city of Tangier and savor its rich Arabic-Spanish atmosphere. Justifying the accolade of ‘Tangier the white’, rows of gleaming white houses, minarets and spires present a stunning contrast against the brilliant blue of the sky and the ocean. Drive along the sandy beach through the main avenues of the new town, stopping at the much-photographed Hercules Grotto. Journey to Cap Spartel, the extreme north promontory of the African continent. The drive back to Tangier takes in the 17th century fortified district of Kasbah and its square, the large open circular space of the Grand Socco, a colorful fruit and vegetable market. There are plenty of photo opportunities and time for shopping at the Medina, where tiny streets are bordered with fabric shops.
