Phoenix Valley of the Sun Cultural Tour |
Walk along Phoenix’s mountain views, yester year Red Indians to current American sites and culture.
| Overview | |
Explore the largest and most populous city in the state of Arizona, also known by its nickname, The Valley of the Sun or The Valley, because the city is surrounded by mountains on all sides. See, through the paintings retained in Phoenix, the art of its ancestors via galleries beginning with the 1000 year occupation of the native American Indians, to the Jesuits in the service of the Spanish Empire in the 1600s and 1700s, later on still, to independent Mexico and finally, modern American society. This tour will ensure you get good views of mountains, lakes and still experience the popular culture of the US with a baseball park, theme parks, good restaurants and the state university. All in all, a walking tour with a revelation in past traditions and the current way of life.
