Set out on a tour of the ancient city of Nuremberg, a city steeped in German history. See the locations of the iconic scenes captured in Leni Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will, such as the Nazi rally grounds were Hitler addressed vast party rallies, the Congress Hall and the region designed as ‘New Rome’ by architect Albert Speer. Explore the other side of Nuremberg that the locals are proud of. You will see the massive medieval fortifications of the old town, magnificent gothic churches, colorful market place renowned for the Christmas market and the hilltop castle of the old imperial city. Nuremberg is also home to one of Germany’s oldest Jewish communities. Tour the party rally grounds and visit the Documentation Centre for a glimpse into the city’s dark history.
