The Botanic Gardens, opened in 1884, is popularly known as the “Waterfall Gardens”. Set in 29 acres of lush greenery it is Penang’s natural heritage. Besides being the storehouse for Malaysia’s unique flora it also serves as the ‘green lung’ for urban Penang.
