Feel the unearthly rumble beneath your feet as you watch the NASA Space Shuttle launch into the sky on this VIP tour. Although most attendants are required to sit light years away from the launch pad, this tour allows you to sit close enough to smell the rocket fuel. Expected to be retired in the next few years, the Space Shuttle’s lift off is a technological feat that should surely not be missed. Then, take a chance to learn about the shuttle and its history in the adjacent Visitor Center. Here, you can learn about the history and mechanics of the Shuttle. Don’t forget to take in an IMAX and have your kids try their own hand at “launching” at the playground in the Children’s Playdome. You may also opt for the Regular Shuttle Launch Viewing where you can view the Space Shuttle Launch from the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
