Enjoy wildlife and nature on this tour to the BR Temple Wildlife Sanctuary
| Attractions and things to do - 3 Day Biligirirangana Hills Nature Sanctuary Tour - from Bangalore | |
Located on the outskirts of Mysore, the Biligirirangana range of hills are picturesquely located between the Cauvery and Kapila rivers. At a spectacular height of 5,091 feet above sea level, this hill stretches from the north to the south for about 16 kilometres. Within the hills lies the Biligirirangaswamy Sanctuary which is spread over an area of 540 square kilometres. This sanctuary is home to the gaur (Indian bison) chital, sambar, elephants, tigers, panthers and bears. Although the hills and the sanctuary are great to visit any time of the year, the best time is between September and May. Enjoy long nature walks amidst the long grass, tall trees and wildlife. Wake up to the chirping of birds and humming of bees. Breathe in fresh, clean air. And let the cool breeze blow your cares away.
