Mou Waho Island is an extraordinary native flora and fauna reserve lying close to the centre of Lake Wanaka. Mou Waho is a truly intriguing and unusual island - geographically rare worldwide. This cruise is a magical trip – boat across Lake Wanaka to Mou Waho Island. A 40-minute walk takes you up to Arethusa Pool which is a small alpine lake located 300ft above Lake Wanaka in a Japanese garden-like rock and forest setting. Enjoy the views of the Minaret Peaks on the western shore of Lake Wanaka and south towards the Lodge. From the top we have a sweeping 360-degree view of Lake Wanaka, its surrounding mountains and valleys, and below Arethusa Pool.
