This tour in Morocco explores the rugged canyons, ancient Kasbahs, peaceful valleys and stark slopes of the Atlas Mountains. From Marrakech the trail goes southeast across the Western High Atlas ranges to Tizi n’Tichka the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Explore the steep gorges of the Dades Valley and the Valley of the Roses, once traversed by Alexander the Great and his invading army. Your adventure in Morocco gets more exciting as you travel on foot through the M’Goun River Gorges to the remote village of Tarzoute. At Tighremt N’Ait Ahmed you’ll see outcrops of sandstone and a bizarre sandcastle. Continue on your adventure trip in Morocco and travel to Daroudan Falaise, also called the Dolomites of Morocco and the soaring limestone face of La Cathedrale - the highest cliff in Morocco. Pass through Berber villages and potato fields, against the backdrop of hills, escarpments and sudden valleys. Also visit the Lake Bin El Ouidane Dam, which at 133 metres, is Morocco’s highest arch dam. Take a dip in the fresh waters of the natural pools of the Ouzzoud waterfalls, before heading back to Marrakech. The striking landscapes and picturesque hamlets you see on the way will make this Moroccan holiday truly exciting!
