A historical tour in Mexico is a nice way to explore the archaeological site of Chichen Itza and Mayan ruins at Palenque. Scale up the Pyramid of Kukulkan at the archaeological zone of El Castillo in Chichen Itza. The pyramid represents a Mayan calendar made in stone with carvings of the plumed serpent (Kukulkan) on its stairways. Look-out for some exquisite Mayan architecture and ruins at the eight-tier Temple of Inscriptions in Palenque. At the Pyramids of Teotihuacan, you will see people meditating on the top of the Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon. Take a refreshing break at Agua Azul that opens up a vista of roaring waterfalls, fern-fringed pools surrounded by dense jungle. A swim in its calm waters will soothe your senses.
