Take an adventure safari tour to Samburu National Reserve, the Great Rift Valley and Masai Mara National Reserve on this Kenyan vacation. Set out from Nairobi and drive 360 kilometers north to the rugged and semi-arid landscape of Samburu National Reserve. Discover a variety of flora and fauna on a late afternoon game-drive in this reserve. The next day, drive to the 5,199 meters high Mount Kenya and you’ll see unique vegetation ranging from bamboo forests to cloud forests at a higher altitude. You could also see animals like the black and white baboon, waterbuck, black rhino, leopard and hyena. Return from the game-drive and spend the night at the Mountain Lodge on the slopes of Mount Kenya. Next morning, continue to the Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley and you’ll see stunning vistas of Kenya’s landscape. Keep your camera handy and you’ll get some great photographs of flamingos and rhinos among other big game species. The next day, travel the world famous 1510 square kilometers Masai Mara National Reserve. Set against the backdrop of the Esoit Oloololo Escarpment and dissected by the Mara River, the reserve is famous for its variety of wildlife and seasonal wildebeest migrations.In the morning, you have the option of taking a balloon safari over the Masai Mara or a game drive into the wilderness of the reserve and follow it up with a delicious bush breakfast at the camp. Spend the day exploring the reserve and you could come across some of the Big Five. A safari in the Masai Mara will be the perfect end to this adventure in Kenya.
