This tour explores the flowering South Eastern part of the Madeira Island. Enjoy a scenic drive to a typical Quinta, a sort of small park with a manor house, where you may observe exotic and endemic flora and birdlife. Follow it up with a visit to a water stream mouth in the city of Madeira, to observe some more birds such as little egrets, turnstones and waxbills to name a few. As you drive along, you will notice a completely different landscape, much more barren and brownish than the rest of the island. Besides admiring the North and South of the island from the same point, you may also amuse yourself with the Berthelot's Pipit posing for your photos, with the purple blooms of the cardoon plant in the background!
