Karnak Temple Tour |
Visit the Karnak temple in Luxor and discover more about the history of ancient Egypt
| Overview | |
The ancient Egyptian temple of Karnak is one of the major attractions in Luxor. The largest temple complex ever built by man, Karnak Temples has three main temples and several outer temples. As you explore the temple, you’ll come across a huge hall with 134 columns, intricately crafted towers and relics of Egypt’s ancient dynasties. Don’t miss the sacred lake that lies outside the main hall, where you’ll see a big statue of a scarab (a beetle considered divine by ancient Egyptians) that dates back to the reign of King Amenhotep III.
