Witness the beauty of the Great Rift Valley that stretches 6000 kilometres from the Middle East, cutting through Africa and leading up to Mozambique. Head northwards towards the plateau of the Rift Valley and travel past the Mount Longonot, a strato-volcano escalating to a height of 2776 metres. Its forest covered valleys and ridges make it a picture perfect sight. Visit the saltwater Lake Nakuru that is famous for its pink flamingos. Tuck into a hearty meal at one of the lodges in the Nakuru National Park and head towards Kenya’s second-largest freshwater lake, Naivasha. You will come across a variety of birds and a large number of hippopotamuses here. With its fertile soil, this region is one of the most lush areas in Kenya, with forests, vineyards and cultivation areas. Enjoy a hot cup of tea at the shores of Naivasha before returning to Nairobi. So this African vacation, don’t forget your camera and binoculars, as the Great Rift Valley is a storehouse of wildlife.
