Kenya’s Mombasa is home to some spectacular beaches ideal for aqua activities and sunbathing. Sail on a traditional Arabic dhow from Bodo Beach (40kms south of Diani) towards Funzi Island. Visit the local school, medicine man’s workplace and fishing village. Get a glimpse into the day-to-day life of Funzi fishermen as you explore this beautiful village. Funzi Island, surrounded by the Indian Ocean, is a beautiful place with mangroves, palm trees and white powdery beaches. Check out the sandbar that rises dramatically from the middle of the Indian Ocean. Swim in the limpid waters and look out for dolphins, turtles and other interesting marine creatures. At Kinazini Island, have a hearty buffet of seafood and meat before spending a leisurely day along the silvery beach. Mombasa is truly the ideal place for a relaxed holiday.
