This wildlife safari in Kenya promises you a variety of experiences, varied cuisines and excellent game spotting opportunities. Arrive at Kenya’s Capital city, Nairobi, and freshen up at the Somak Safari Lounge before taking an Amboseli safari in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli National Park is an international biosphere reserve with a stunning view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the park is home to over 400 species of breeding birds and rare flora and fauna. Take pictures during a late afternoon game drive. Stay overnight at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge, set on 200 acres of land, on the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The lodge offers deluxe rooms, private balconies for bird watching and a restaurant serving specialty cuisine from Europe, Asia and Africa. An early African breakfast prepares you for the drive (350km) to the Great Rift Valley and to Lake Naivasha, the only freshwater lake within Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Trail into the forest with a naturalist and explore the wilderness or simply enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Spend the night at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge on the southern shores of the lake. Drive to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve and explore fascinating wildlife like leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo, crocodile, antilope and gazelles thriving in unrestrained freedom. Halt for two nights at the Mara Sopa Lodge built IN the Oloolaimutia Valley which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and wilderness. It has elevated verandas for sunbathing and spotting birds and wildlife. Capture the haunting beauty of the Kenyan landscape on an early morning balloon safari over the Mara and follow it up with a hearty bush breakfast at the Mara Sopa Lodge. You drive back 300 kilometres to Nairobi after a wonderful holiday which an ideal mix of the wild and the tame.
