Karnak and Luxor Temple Tour |
Visit the Karnak temple in Luxor, is one of the largest temple complex ever built by man
| Overview | |
The ancient Egyptian temple of Karnak and the Luxor temple are major tourist attractions in Egypt. As you explore the Karnak Temple, you’ll come across a huge hall with 134 intricately carved columns and relics of ancient Egyptian dynasties. Don’t miss the sacred lake that lies outside the main hall, where you’ll see a big statue of a scarab (a beetle considered divine by ancient Egyptians) that dates back to the reign of King Amenhotep III. The construction of the temple of Luxor began during the reign of Amenhotep II; it was expanded by King Ramses II. At the entrance is a huge tower built by King Ramses II.
