Go on a delightful journey into the past on this tour that takes you to the Beijing of a bygone era. The Capital Museum has an extraordinary collection of historic objects including statues, jade, bronze and more. There is no better way to get a feel of ‘Old’ Beijing than to travel in a ‘jinrikisha’ through the narrow charismatic alleys called hutongs, some dating as far back as the 13th century. This maze of narrow alleyways winding around the Forbidden City is fast disappearing, and you’ll get a glimpse into the distinctive Chinese culture as you zigzag through the hutongs. This tour also includes a visit to the magnificent gardens at Prince Gong´s Mansion, Beijing´s largest and the best preserved royal mansion of Qing Dynasty.
