If you want to experience wildlife at its best, head for the legendary Jim Corbett National Park. Named after the famous Jim Corbett, this National Park was set up in 1973 and dedicated to the preservation of the tiger. The incredible variety of mammals, birds and vegetation at Corbett makes it one of the best National Parks in India. Binoculars and a camera come in handy for close encounters with anything from a herd of wild elephants and deer to a crocodile basking in the sun. Be alert to the alarm calls of the barking deer and the langur, and if you are lucky, it might lead you to a lounging tiger! Don’t miss the variety of birds fluttering across every now and then. The abundance of diverse vegetation supports myriad species. The beauty of the jungle with the surrounding hills, the meandering river and the trees canopy make Corbett National Park one of the best wildlife experiences to enjoy.
