Go island hopping to the stunningly beautiful island of Kefalonia, just a short sail away to the north of Zakynthos. Kefalonia beckons with a rural landscape rich in colour, set amid towering peaks and unspoilt beaches. Two of Kefalonia’s most famous sites are deep underground. Take a walk through the stalagmites and stalactites of the Drogerati Cave, whose acoustics continue to amaze despite the passage of a million years. A row boat across Lake Melissani promises to be a surreal experience as the sun lights up this aquamarine underground lake, creating a stunning reflection of the colors. Free time in Argostoli, the island’s capital town, for lunch, shopping, relaxation or a walk along the harbour front bring a perfect day to an end.
