The soothing swish of skis over snow is one of the supreme joys of winter. Not the adrenalin-pumping excitement of whizzing downhill, but the whole-body immersion-with-nature experience of cross-country skiing. You will learn the basics of cross-country skiing from a qualified Finnish instructor. The technique is similar to walking and not difficult to master. The skis are light, the shoes soft and flexible and the tracks specially prepared to make the going easy.
After gliding through silent, white forests you will pause for delicious hot beverages by a campfire. Your morning's exercise will be the equivalent of a good work-out, but a whole lot more fun.
