Santiago doesn’t fail to entertain you even in its outskirts. If you wish to explore the city from a different perspective, a horseback ride around the foothills of Santiago is a great idea! Visit the Huinganal Stables and pick the horse of your choice from the ‘media luna’ (rodeo ring) and gallop down the dirt road. Accompanied by a “huasos”, the Chilean version of the cowboy, you will revel in the splendid vistas of the Aconcagua Mount. Along the way you will come across high saguaro-like cacti and red rocks reminiscent of New Mexico and Arizona. Gallop through the gentle slopes contouring these highlands while witnessing some extraordinary landscapes of the central valley, the city of Santiago and the Andes Cordillera.
