Holland Landmarks in the North and South - Zaanse Schans, Volendam

North and South Holland

See picturesque Zaanse Schans’s windmills and wooden houses and Madurodam’s famous miniatures

Overview
The Netherlands brings to mind images of windmills, flowers, canals and wooden houses. This tour will show you the typical Dutch countryside which really does live up to that image. Drive past meandering canals on the way to the Zaanse Schans, perhaps Netherland’s most popular tourist destination because of its old world charm- windmills, wooden houses and old fashioned shops can be found here.

Tourists adore the fishing villages of Volendam and Marken for the colourful attire of its inhabitants and its picturesque beauty. Delft, also included in this tour, is world famous for its blue pottery, besides being a city steeped in history.

The Hague, Netherland’s former capital, is the seat of government of Holland and home to the country's parliamentary buildings. Another popular attraction of The Hague is the miniature town of Madurodam – with models of the country's most famous buildings.
