Leave Casablanca for the day and visit the town of Rabat, which has played an instrumental role in Moroccan history. Rabat dates back to around 40AD, when it was a Roman Settlement known as Chellah. Its rich history and location of the Atlantic Ocean make the Moroccan capital an enjoyable place to visit. Enjoy a tour of some of the cities ancient sites such as the Chellah Necropolis and the Hassan Tower, which stand side-by-side with modern buildings such as the Mohammed V Mausoleum. Don’t miss the archaeological museum, which has several interesting artefacts from pre-historic ages.
