From the Costa Del Sol, cross the strait of Gibraltar to spend 4 days exploring Morocco. Start in Tangier, which is an ancient Phoenician town located at the point where the waters of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic meet. The surrounding mountains provide a magnificent backdrop to this intriguing city. The city of Meknes is dominated by the unfinished but magnificent Royal Palace. Dubbed as the Versailles of Morocco, Meknes is a jewel that any serious traveller who visits Morocco should not miss. Fez is one of the four so-called "Imperial cities". The Medina of Fez el Bali is believed to be the largest contiguous car free urban area in the world. Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a number of major monuments are being saved from ruin and restored. Cueta is a Spanish enclave on mainland Morrocco facing Algeciras across the Straits of Gibraltar. It is a popular short cut with high-speed ferries that service the Straits.
