This tour is one of the most comprehensive tours in Shanghai and showcases its most famous monuments, gardens and landmarks. Jade Buddha Temple is the most famous Buddhist temple while the Shanghai Museum, situated in the heart of Ren MinSquare (People's Square), portrays a cross-century image. It houses a collection of over 120,000 pieces and is especially famous for its collection of bronzes, ceramics, paintings and calligraphy. The Bund (Anglo-Indian for ‘embankment’) is Shanghai’s famous waterfront, and offers fabulous views of Shanghai's signature cityscape. It showcases pre-1949 architecture. Today the world’s greatest banks and trading empires have established a base here. The 400-year old Yu Garden is reputed to be the most beautiful garden south of the Yangtze River. Also known as the Garden of Peace and Comfort, this beautifully reconstructed classical Chinese garden in the Old City was originally built during the Ming Dynasty. End this memorable day with a visit to a silk factory and unwind at Shanghai’s hottest entertainment district, Xin Tian Di.
