Prisoners were trapped on all sides by the ocean with ‘Eaglehawk Neck’ their only access to freedom. Built on convict labour, Port Arthur stands testimony to a time gone by. See the buildings and bridges built by convicts and the prisons where they were incarcerated as you listen to your guide tell you more about the place. Add a dash of natural wonder to this tour as you enjoy a cruise in Port Harbour and view fascinating formations like the ‘tessellated pavement’ and ‘Devil’s Kitchen’.
