The ruins of Ayuthaya are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The region has some dramatic modern history attached to it including the infamous Death Railway of World War II. This part of the country is full of history and also has some of Thailand’s most impressive natural scenery and attractions. There are picture perfect waterfalls and lush green forests.
