This important mass of rock attracts a lot of visitors every year making it a popular excursion. During this journey, see the Monument to the Capture of the Spaniards built in 1791, the residential area of Chacras de Coria and the oil distillery before traveling on to Cachet. Take time to stop at Hotel Hominimo which has thermal baths for you to relax. Enjoy spectacular view of the entire valley above Mendoza at Potrerillos. The special attraction at Upsallata is the “bovedas”, the adobe like caves or vaults that have been used as a background in many films worldwide. You have the opportunity to see the historic bridge of Fortin de Puicheuta and the Inca ruins of Tambillitos and Estancia Tambillo. Do not miss Puente del Inca (Inca Bridge), one of the wonders of South America that is a natural bridge created by rocks and the river. Not far from here is the Horcones Ravine and looking north from this spot is where you can see Mount Aconcagua, the highest American peak.
