The Ammarin Bedouin Camp in Petra is one of the most unique places to visit in Jordan. Located near little Petra (Beida), it is actually an ethnic Bedouin Museum which depicts the lifestyle and culture of the Ammarin tribe and the areas inhabited by them. This site consists of two open, large Bedouin tents that are set up around a main courtyard. Four closed Bedouin tents behind the main tents are spread around the large camp area. This fascinating a museum showcases the lifestyle of the Ammarin Bedouins. Experience the alluring atmosphere of an authentic Bedouin camp in the middle of the desert. Sip some delicious mint tea and listen to the Bedouins recount stories of the past and recall folklore besides a campfire.
