Galleria dell' Accademia and Uffizi Gallery Tour |
Discover the works of Renaissance Masters in the Galleria dell' Accademia and Uffizi Gallery
| Overview | |
The Uffizi Gallery and Galleria dell' Accademia are treasure houses of Renaissance paintings and sculptures. The Uffizi Gallery takes you on a journey through the history of Renaissance art as you browse through important works, arranged in chronological sequence. A window to Italian and more particularly Florentine art, the gallery houses the works of masters such as Botticelli, Mantegna, Correggio, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael. The world’s most famous statue, Michelangelo’s David, is among the works in the superb collection at the Galleria della Accademia. Giambologna’s The Rape of the Sabine Women and The Dispute of the Immaculate Conception by Carlo Portelli reflect the spirit of freedom of the Italian Renaissance. The Renaissance paintings and sculptures of the Galleria dell' Accademia and Uffizi Gallery, will transport you to an age of splendour which is the hallmark of Florence.
