Founded in 1924, the Latvian Ethnographic Museum is one of the oldest open-air museums in Europe. Historical dwellings, peasant's, fishermen's and artisans' homesteads, a tavern and windmills from all over Latvia can be seen here. Masters of ancient crafts such as spoon-carvers and bee-keepers demonstrate their work. The collection contains many interesting displays and makes for an enchanting tour.
