One of the most popular tourist attractions in Cairo is the Egyptian Museum, situated in the Tahirr Square. Explore the history of ancient Egypt as you take a tour of this huge palace with 107 halls showcasing ancient Egyptian artefacts. See huge statues of kings, gods and goddesses on the ground floor, while the upper floor houses small statues, jewels and Tutankhamen treasures. It is the largest Egyptian antiques museum in the world and definitely the most interesting landmark in Cairo. Also see artefacts from the tombs of kings and members of the royal families of the Middle Kingdom found at Dahshur in 1894.
