The Sani Pass is a spectacular mountain road and is the entry point into Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho from South Africa’s Natal Drakensberg Park. This highest pass in South Africa is the gateway to the ‘Roof of Africa’ scenic route that links the spectacular scenery of the Drakensberg with the mountains of northern Lesotho. Travel past streams, forests and cultivated fields in the Midlands and the quaint Underberg town. On reaching the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains area, a 4WD drive takes you literally up in the clouds! Visit the dwelling of the Sotho people, inhabitants of this beautiful, desolate region and enjoy their warm hospitality. Like a painter’s canvas, the picture of the towering Drakensberg Range cloaked in clouds and the quaint Lesotho village makes this an out-of-the-world experience!
